Contract Personnel Advantages - Here are Contract Personnel Advantages
Think Resources, Inc. has successfully served literally thousands of clients.
Here are a few of their stories.
>> Rule Number 1: Pay for only the people you hire
Challenge
A building materials manufacturer had hired a placement firm to find an engineer for their company. They made a sizable, up-front deposit before the search began. Several weeks had already gone by, but there was no engineer or any solution in sight. They called Think Resources.
Solution
We require no financial investment whatsoever unless we fill a position. Even while we are personally interviewing and testing candidates for a position, it is at our expense, with no cost to the clients or to the candidates. Once we found the engineer everyone was looking for, she was hired on the spot. Only then did their company incur a charge for our services
>> How to make Laptop Technicians drop into your lap
Challenge
One of the “Big Three” long distance carriers needed four laptop software technicians to staff a project that was starting the following Tuesday. Their vendor was not supplying qualified people. At 4 p.m. on Friday, they called Think Resources.
Solution
Our database revealed several candidates who matched the search criteria. On Monday, we presented six qualified people for interviews. Four of them were hired on the spot and began work on Tuesday. The project grew into a nationwide upgrade project. When it came time to staff up again, they called Think Resoures first. We supplied 20 more employees for a five-month assignment.
>> Finding qualified technicians at a world-class pace
Challenge
A major telecommunications provider needed 300 technicians in order to handle services associated with the Olympic Games in Atlanta. As the opening ceremonies grew near, it was an all-out dash to fill the positions in time. They had already hired some of their staff, but they were running out of resources. They called Think Resources.
Solution
Our initial search produced more than 1,600 potential candidates. We called every one of them! Think Resources then ran an elaborate screening process where we screened according to skill level, availability, and physical fitness. When all was said and done, we provided more than 600 candidates for the jobs (an unofficial world record), and the company hired 90 of our people.
>> Everybody needs a good utility man
Challenge
A major utility company had been using a non-technical placement firm to help staff technical positions in their organization. The
results were far less than satisfactory. They called Think Resources.
Solution
We invited the company’s decision makers to tour our facilities. They saw our extensive database of technical professionals. They saw hundreds of new resumes coming in every day over the internet, by fax, and by mail. We demonstrated our ability to perform almost instantaneous keyword searches to find people of various descriptions. They were convinced. Not only did we fill their immediate needs, but we have been providing utility players in clutch situations ever since.
>> Building your resources one person at a time
Challenge
A software development firm had been conducting its own search for a position which required a rather obscure skillset. After several months, they hadn’t found anyone They solicited help from a handful of recruiting firms. After eight months of searching, they, too, were frustrated. Finally, they called Think Resources.
Solution
Think Resources found several people who had the skillset the company was looking for. While the original search was for only one person, the company was so impressed with our candidates, they hired two. Since that time, they have been a regular client of Think Resources. After all, we know how to find what they’re looking for.
>> The case of the missing MIS Director
Challenge
After a lengthy search for an MIS Director, a Southeastern-based manufacturing company discovered they had hundreds of resumes, but none of the candidates appeared to meet all the requirements. They called Think Resources.
Solution
Sometimes an unimpressive resume hides an impressive person. Think Resources demonstated why we conduct phone interviews and face-to-face interviews. We’ve learned that by asking the right questions, we get past the surface information and down to the real information. In this case, the client hired a stellar MIS Director who may have been overlooked because of his less-than-stellar resume.
>> Languages: From HTML to portuguese
Challenge
A network support company had a seemingly simple problem, they needed to staff their PC help desk. But there was one small hitch: this person had to be able to speak English and fluent Portuguese in order to support their systems in Brazil. They called Think Resources.
Solution
Even our sales associate had his doubts about this one But after a quick scan of the database and a few phone calls by our recruiting staff, we had several candidates ready to interview . . . in Portuguese! Within days, the position was filled. There is virtually no end to the keywords that can be used to search our database. And sometimes, even we are surprised by the results.
>> How to dig your way out of an avalanche
Challenge
A pulp and paper equipment manufacturer ran a classified ad looking for CAD operators. In the beginning, it was easy to interview and test every
prospect. But as the number of candidates grew and eventually snowballed, their human resource staff was overwhelmed. They called Think Resources.
Solution
Immediately, we were given responsibility for the entire process of finding candidates and screening them. We held interviews at our facilities, freeing up the client’s resources. We conducted a CAD proficiency test that had been customized for this position. And when we presented candidates for review, all four of them were qualified and ready to go to work.
