Help with submitting resumes
Why is it so important to submit your resume to ThinkJobs.com? Think
Resources receives hundreds of new job orders a week. Submitting your
resume and registering with us, allows you to be eligible for jobs that aren't
available to the public yet! Our search analysts are constantly reviewing
your skills to find YOU the perfect job. Once you are registered with us,
you are considered for jobs even on the days you are not looking!
There are at least two ways to submit resumes on ThinkJobs.com.
1. Register/Submit your resume directly to us
From the Home page, click on either:
--"Create a Job Search Agent", or
--"Click to Submit your Resume"
2. Apply directly to a specific job
After you get the results of a Search, each job has an Apply button.
If you click that button, you will get a form where there is a place to
paste your resume.
To cut and paste your resume
1. Using a common word processing program, highlight the text of your resume.
2. Use the "Copy" command to copy the text into the memory/clipboard.
3. Use the "Paste" command to insert the text into the resume field.
If you are having problems pasting your resume into the appropriate field,
you can e-mail your resume to us.
E-mail your resume to Resumes@ThinkJobs.com.
Help with job searches
Our job search is based on searching for keywords. Keywords are specific
words or phrases that are used to describe the type of position for which
you are looking.
The fields that define a keyword search:
> Minimum salary or rate range
> Contracter or permanent employee
> The state in which you are looking to work
> Job title
Too many search results?
If your search results in jobs that don't fit what you are looking for, try
to use more specific keywords, for example, instead of 'programmer' try
'visual basic programmer'.
Too few search results?
If your search results in too few jobs, try expanding your search-maybe
you should consider both contract and direct hire employment or jobs
out of state.
Help with Job Search Agent
Unlike many other career websites, ThinkJobs.com allows you to create a job
search agent, which will e-mail you anytime a new job requirement is entered
that matches your skills. This special feature allows you to review every job
we receive the second it enters our system. And you don't have to do a thing!
Creating a job search agent is as simple as registering with ThinkJobs.com.
The search agent looks through all of the jobs currently listed with our site
for the keywords you've selected. If one or more of your keywords are located
in the job description of the current opening, the search will select that job for
your review.
On the Home page, click on "Create a Job Search Agent" and this will take you
directly to that page.
There you have the options to CREATE a search agent for:
>>> Information Technology jobs
>>> Engineering jobs
Click on the appropriate job search agent you would like to create and fill out
the form. You will receive an e-mail if a job matches your profile. It's that simple.
You also have the option to CANCEL your job search agent.
To cancel your existing agent, fill in the form and click "Submit this entry".
